Hi guise so recently during my spare time (aka my free periods lol) I have been rereading 悲伤逆流成河 because in English we were talking about how Plath suicided by gassing herself in the oven and I'm like hey, the guy does this too in the end. And seeing this is quite teenage angsty (I remember really liking it in year 10 and then I had a huge 郭敬明 spurge and bought 95% of his books) but yeah anyway, if I really liked teenage angst back in those days, then I don't think there would be a word to describe my fondness of it now. As you reread a book, you also notice how many things you have missed/passed by, and ultimately forgotten. (Then I kick myself for not remembering all these beautiful parts)- The first page is actually a cheat because it's at the very end of the book and I haven't read up to it yet but even after all these years, it's an ultimate favourite
- The second page is like an example of conflicting perspectives?
I personally think the author is trying to describe what friendzoning is LOL but in the novel you can tell the girl likes the guy back as well? But decides to go off with a dick because 'he would fight for her, and he looks cool'. The main guy then thinks to himself, 'I could do that too you know...' but yeah keeps it to himself. But anyway, the conflicting perspective is that I think it's not actually friendzoning? Omg idk I think girls actually have genuine feelings towards a guy if they matter that much? (Do I make any sense here) Like if I felt like that about someone then tbh that would mean I think more of them? Yeah idk it's quite sad though because the next page continues on about how one day this boy is going to find a princess and he'll no longer pay all his attention to you n daht but yeah idk mixed emotions (and this boy finding a princess later thing is relevant because he actually does later and it made me so sad like but what about 易遥?!?!) - It's also sad because the guy is described as the perfect student omfg why can't they exist irl
- The last one is just yeah idk
