So today I finally got my head around the important of scaling- Obviously the best scaling subjects are 4U, 3U maths and chemistry (not far behind with physics) and immediately I thought of a few people who do exactly all these subjects. And Chinese for some reason also scales really well (not as well as Latin extension/continuers) so there's 50000 times more security for a high ATAR for those whose units comprise of the following subjects mentioned above (aka Jeff haha)
On Friday night after dinner with Mary I felt like there was a need to change my room (as it was hard for me to concentrate with the previous setting) so mum and I shifted my computer to the window (bad lighting hence discourages me to use the computer) and move my fake two bookshelf desk against the wall (with nice lighting and a blank wall which provides me with less distractions than the shutters). We also decided to move the bed 90 degrees into the corner and holy shit it was a bad idea at that time because it required so much effort (there was all this luggage under the beds and we literally had to drag over 100kg of weight across the room with the beds still over it crey). There was a picture of the process but my hand was shaky and it just blurred so bleh
Before tutor, decided to have a talk with my brother over what happened at school and I guess it reassured me (only a tiny bit). He explained how your final ATAR is calculated and how scaling and ranking and percentiles play a part and everything. We also figured that if you get 95 for all 9 units and 0 for the remaining 1 unit, you still get an ATAR of 80 (pretty sweet yeah ahaha)
Then we had lunch together with mum and Mary (who came late and I had to leave for tutor so I didn't see her in the end) and we had this $60 set and holy shit that place was crowded. Also saw Jenny's mum waitressing at the restaurant and it's been so long since I've seen her (she hasn't changed though)
Then at 2:05pm I left for my tutor (which was at 2pm) and since everyone is usually late, I thought it'd be okay if I arrive at 2:10 and turns outs William arrived later than me anyway LOL so I could have sat and ate for another 5-10 minutes. I also realised that my previous 3U (the one with two state ranks) actually got 99.95 for his ATAR, where his lowest mark was 95 for English. His uni WAM is 90 (which is like holy shit) and he apparently was complaining that this semester was his first time getting under 90 (aka 89 point something psht). Spent some solid entertainment on teasing the tutor how he doesn't look 19 but 26 instead, and William suggested 80-85... Though he did get 99.85 for his ATAR which kinda matched his age and I pissed myself laughing for some time.
Then we started talking about how choosing the right subjects also affects your marks as the tutor was saying how this guy could have beaten another guy's mark but because of scaling he didn't get scaled as high (he didn't choose a science) which led to me researching a crap load about scaling. Also UNSW Commerce lecturers are shitty fobs so there goes my future.

After tutor while waiting for mum to pick me up William and I went to Lamb & Cumin to finally try it out and him only have $2.50, ($1.67 per stick) we bought 3 for $5. It was alright, though pretty damn salty but nothing compares to the 1RMB (equivalent to 15 cents or less) sticks you find in Shanghai.
While waiting in line, I also saw someone who I was coincidentally thinking about last night.
I can't get it out of my head crey (I'm the type of person who sees someone and replays the meeting fifty thousand times later throughout the day) but yeah, hopefully sometime in the near future we'll talk again.
