Better four months late than nothing? These are also the only photos I have on my camera, I really can't be bothered charging my old phone and then connecting it to PC to transfer photos. Maybe one day when I have absolutely nothing to blog then I'll whip out my old phone and cheat. Before boarding - Qantas First Class Lounge (the one I went to for New Zealand was nicer imo)
Smoked salmon, cream cheese and avocado
Free food with the mum!
Light breakfast + Cream of Mushroom Soup with Thyme Croutons (I didn't take any appealing photos of the soup)
Main plates - Chicken Schnitzel and Swiss Cheese Toasted Sandwich with Coleslaw
Herb Crusted Lamb Rack with White Onion Puree, Thyme Roasted Potatoes and Sauteed Spinach
Dessert - Baked Orange Custard with Pistachios (this was to die for)
Light Dinner - Seared Beef Tenderloin with Zucchini Fritters, Slow Roasted Tomatoes and Home Made Barbecue Sauce (this was rather disappointing sigh)
Steamed Blue Eye Jiangxi Style with Mustard Greens and Chilli, Steamed Rice and Gai Lan
Vanilla Crepes with Mango, Strawberries and Lemon Balm (to die for once again)
Kenjin it's your favourite movie lel !!
Caught the sunset just in time
View from outside my kitchen! Anon asked where I stayed in Shanghai, it's like equivalent to the North in Sydney (even though houses may look shit the land here is actually very expensive wtf)
I don't think this needs any explaining LOL
Dz and I were very bored children so we came here in hopes of visiting a club, grabbing dinner and just being Asian tourists in general. Apparently this is the street where you'll find many people offering their 'services' ahem but yeah came across none so #lucky phew. We also stayed in Forever 21 for a bit too long LOL (we were basically finding the most ridiculous outfits and laughing at them) but I bought a cardigan in the end, better than coming out empty handed?
Then we had dinner at this Japanese buffet and it sounded too good to be true?! Like we could order as much as we want from this super esh menu (turns out it was smaller portions but meh) and we had food quadruplets, not even joking. We just sat there after and couldn't stop laughing at the fact that we couldn't move. The couple next to use came at the same time as us but they were still eating and eating and eating and it was unbelievable. We planned to roll out of the restaurant... yes, we were that full.
Definitely ate our money's worth - dat comparison doe
After a freezing 10-15 minute walk we finally arrived at The Bund and we became Asian tourists. The night was hazy so every photo had its quality degraded sigh. Towards the right of this photo is actually just a massive black haze, I wasn't able to see any building past it.
Then we headed off to MUSE aka my first bar experience - which was pretty hectic. Had 100 yuan worth of shots (so expensive sigh), chilled for a bit and decided it was too noisy for us.. so we dnmed at The Bund.
GUYS I SAW CLOUDS IN SHANGHAI WTF CLEAR SKIES?! I SWEAR TO GOD I COULDN'T SEE A SINGLE CLOUD PROPERLY DURING MY THREE WEEKS, EVERYTHING WAS JUST A GREY BLUR BUT HOLY FUCK THE SKY ACTUALLY LOOKS CLEAN AND NOT DIRTY WTF MIRACLE
Will post something more detailed than this later on but for now I'm going to queue this post again and go back to writing notes. Spent 4am-6am blogging lol this dedication... now it's 6:16am and I need to leave the house soon to buy a few things before I move tomorrow. I ALSO NEED TO PACK MY SHIT?!
