So, two days ago, a family dinner happened. This included talking about moving houses, how fucked I'd be during midsems and whether I wanted to have my own room in the living room. As I finished up my food, my brother brought up a topic that was visited a few months ago, "so how much rent are you going to pay me?"- So it was meant to be $80 a week (which is considered cheap because if you shared a room in the city with a friend that's at least $180 per week)
- Despite my defense about not even being 18 etc; and not actually having a proper job, won't be able to juggle between work and study... I still lost the battle
- But then being the business oriented kid I am, I proposed something else.
- $50 starting from May 1, and then $70 after I turn 18
- Bro was like "nope $80" then that got reduced to $75 and then being the genius I am, I suggested to flip a coin (only because I actually have a coin dedicated to flipping and it just felt like it would be in my favour that night).
- Because I didn't agree on $75, the flip was either tails- $80 or heads $70. I either win big or die a sore loser... but after three flips, IT WAS TWO HEADS HALLELUJAH, LIFE YOU HAVE FINALLY DONE SOMETHING RIGHT
- Basically going to live like a hobo now in order to secure a place to live lol
- But yeah, basically helping me become more independent. On a wider spectrum, I'M ONE STEP AHEAD OF YOU GUYS IN LIFE. Even the worst things in life have a silver lining, you just need to see it from another perspective.
