2.9.14
Sunday 31st August
Earlier during the week I had won an auction on Ebay for an 8" Dobsonian telescope (Bintel) which required a 2.5 hour trek towards and past Newcastle to Elderslie. This could not have been done without the almighty Daniel! I had work until noon and he finished at 2 so I spent a solid hour roaming Hurstville in an attempt to kill time. Of course, I visited the pet shop first
And look at this adorable baby sleeping! Even smiles when catching them zzz's
"Draw me like one of your french rabbits, Jack"
They reacted dramatically to any sound/movement. I accidentally tapped the cage when I tried to get a better photo and the guinea pigs immediately scattered under the plastic shelter. Headed to grocery stores to buy a few snacks/drinks for the road trip and proceeded to harass Dan at Talent 100 (downstairs this time)
Poor baby died on the way to and back from Elderslie
Most amazing sunset
On the way to meet the buyer, I kept wondering to myself (and out loud) "who would live here, there's like minimal civilization how do you even survive". This quickly turned into a "holy shit definitely going to invest in a house in the country side in the future" when I saw the buyer's place - literally surrounded by plains and serenity overwhelmed the skies, it was too great to be real. Like, words literally cannot describe how beautiful their surroundings were (the house was pretty esh as well) but holy shit they would've had the best star gazing/deep sky observation locations.
The telescope also turned out to be a lot larger than I had expected it to be but it looks so fancy now that it sits in my bedroom. It actually looks god damn amazing. Hopefully after this semester finishes I can invest more time into this beauty.
Macca's run for dinner
Beyond grateful to have met you.
