To my own surprise, I haven't really been a hermit this year? (But then it's only been 3 weeks in so...)

Spontaneous Wagaya with the fob

Ox tongue pasta

After doing some extremely early anniversary gift shopping and snapping Kenjin the newly bought goods, it turned out that he was also in Town Hall so we decided to meet up and eat at Wagaya. It was actually quite embarrassing because we were both brainstorming for restaurants to eat at and then suddenly on the streets we both started to scream/fangirl over Wagaya because we realised that the 30% off January special was still on. Also realised that the only time when Kenjin is on time is when you don't schedule anything beforehand but plan it out of the blue.

Grilled ox tongue (which tasted amazing as usual)

Fried calamari (which Kenjin refused to eat because he was scared he'd ~break out~)

Tempura prawn roll which was clearly not made very well - sushi with loose rice is a cockblock. I also made my very first Instagram post that day too hehe, finally joined the cult after 30 decades. But then again, it was for my trip to Japan in February so it was going to happen sooner or later anyway.

The fob couldn't decide on which one he wanted

After Wagaya we walked aimlessly around Town Hall and then pondered into Superdry to see their sales and holy shit didn't come out for half an hour I swear. Kenjin had recently bought a backpack from Superdry for uni but suddenly there's all these other cute fobby styles which basically scream Kenjin. Biggest dilemma because they had quite the sale on but buying a new bag required $$$ and he only just bought one a while ago. Ended up talking to the store person about Japan (because she was also going soon!) and left the store empty handed zzz

Somehow also ended up in QVB and I think Lush went a bit too far?

Sleepover at Julie's

After a long day of work, Dan and I trekked it to Killara for a sleepover with Julie, Andrew, Tristan and Alison. The planning was strong with this event and the miscommunication was even stronger - when we arrived at her house, Julie wasn't even home and Henry had to let us in. While waiting for Julie to come back from Town Hall, Dan, Henry and I played speedy^speedy mah jong. Shit was so hectic, there was literally not a single second of pausing.

Dan and I then waited while Henry picked Julie up from the station.

Then we had dinner at a pizza place! Trust me to forget the name and be the odd one out to order a boscaiola instead.

Don't remember what this was but I think it was nice?

This was something to do with teriyaki chicken

I think this was nice too?

After dinner was just drinks with mah jong, drinks with chess, drinks with settlers and just drinks all night. Played a rendition of beer pong - with no beer but bottles of cider and tequila instead... half a bottle of cider per shot. Thankful that the game ended quite quickly otherwise my bladder would have exploded. Ended the night with Kings cup and Dan and I ended up having to drink the Kings cup because we were both mates (and I picked up the last king zzz) Not sure what they all mixed in that jug but it was quite horrific :(

Such a beautiful sunrise... stained by bird poo.

Everyone headed to bed at 4:30am but Dan and I spent an hour trying to sort a few things out and by the time we were through, we had been bitten by mosquitoes too many times. Fell asleep for a tiny bit and woke up again to relentless itching and a fully awake Dan who couldn't sleep from all the mosquitoes. Hence, we decided to quietly leave the house at 6am and went back to mine to catch up on the lost sleep.

And then we came out to have food and play pool!

Frankie's with Leilei, Sam, Debbie, Taiga & John

This guy playing 5 games of chess at once

Leilei and I decided to meet up beforehand since we were early for dinner. Finally bought the instant snow from Kikki K (only because it was 50% off hehe). But then again, I have no idea when and where I'm going to use it.

And then we finally arrived!

.
Walking in, we were welcomed with a pungent smell of garlic so we look up, only to find the ceiling hanging with an overwhelming amount of garlic. It was one of the most foul smelling things ever, if anything, it makes you not want to step into the bar at all. Also thought they had some fear of vampires or something (I mean, why else would you need all that garlic?!) Found a seat, chatted with everyone for ten minutes, made an origami crane and then decided to head to Kobow (since drinks were $10 and one pizza slice was $5... wouldn't one rather spend the same amount for soju and fried chicken instead?)

.
We started with four to catch up on all the things that have happened since graduation. By that I mean pestering Taiga about his relationship and constantly nagging him to tell us which relationship base he is currently on. The beans finally spilled halfway throughout the night.

Happy snaps with Debbie and Leilei

Debbie and Samantha! Mind the quality, front camera and poor lighting were never the bestest of friends.

Then 8 happened

Fried chicken for the 1 and a half guai lous (Taiga and John) who has never experienced the Korean way

Also ordered jajangmyun (a staple) and bulgogi for a change (which was very very nice but too bad there was minimal meat and after one spoonful each, there was only cabbage left). Ended the night at 9, headed to the harbour for some icecream and I don't know what happened, but suddenly Christine and Anna came and they walked Leilei and I to the station hehe
